Change Is Good
Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. I love watching the leaves change, blanketing the landscape in a wash of beautiful colors. I also love the change in the air. When the weather starts cooling down, it's much easier to stay inside to sew and do other things, like cleaning.
I recently bought a two-bedroom condo. After years of living in one-bedroom apartments, I couldn’t wait to move my sewing stuff out of the living room. Well, as with all great plans, this one had a few glitches. That extra bedroom quickly filled up with non-sewing stuff and took on an entirely different purpose. Add to that the fact that I'm not exactly known for being a neat freak. Let's just say when guests come over, that door stays closed.
In the spirit of fall, I'm going to make some changes in my sewing room. My goal is to take control and organize the room into a highly efficient and usable sewing room. Okay, who am I kidding with the highly efficient comment? I just want to be able to leave the door open!
I'm sure none of you struggle with keeping your sewing area/room clean and organized. So I'd love to hear your suggestions for how I can turn mine around. It seems I need all the help I can get!
