Third Times A Charm

Response to the first two issues of Sew Simple has been overwhelmingly positive! I love hearing your stories about learning to sew and creating fabulous projects. So don’t be shy ... send me stories and pictures of your new creations.

In this issue, you'll notice things look a little different. As you probably know by now, crafty girls cannot survive on techniques and projects alone. We need gadgets ... and lots of them. Whether they help us get jobs done easier or just look cool sitting on the shelf, gadgets are must-haves for the budding seamstress. Check out pages 6-9 for some ideas to start your collection.

I hope you enjoy the new additions to the magazine. Drop me a line and let me know what you think. Send me your sewing stories—the good and the bad. We've all made mistakes; that’s part of the learning process. Just ask my mom about the many times I've called her with sewing emergencies! If you can look back at mistakes and laugh and realize that you've learned a valuable lesson, then it’s all good. And don't forget to write me and tell me about it— we'll have a good laugh together!
